Job ResponsibilitiesConduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of tools and injection molds to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning, lubricating, calibrating, and assessing their condition.Diagnose and repair malfunctioning or damaged tools and molds, which may involve replacing parts, fixing mechanical issues, or reprogramming computerized systems.Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment, ensuring that necessary components are available for repairs and replacements.Recommend the replacement of outdated or worn-out tools and equipment to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.Ensure all tools and molds meet safety standards and regulatory requirements, including inspecting for safety issues such as worn handles or damaged electrical components.Provide training to employees on the proper use, care, and maintenance of tools and equipment to prevent misuse or damage.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications for both tools and injection molds, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.Collaborate with production teams to align tooling maintenance schedules with production priorities, minimizing downtime.Troubleshoot and resolve daily tooling and machine issues, ensuring continuous, efficient operations.Coordinate outsourced or customer tooling maintenance, ensuring external services meet quality standards and deadlines.Track and report tooling cycle counts and other relevant metrics to maintain accurate inventory and optimize tool usage.Assist with machine shop activities.Perform additional duties as assigned by management to contribute to ongoing improvements in tooling and maintenance processes.Proficiencies RequiredFacilities Maintenance ExperienceHydraulics ExperienceExperience in a Manufacturing Environment
