The Deskside Support Technician will provide Tier 2 technical support including routine maintenance, new set ups and complete project work within the Corporate IT Support Team. RESPONSIBILITIES Resolving service desk tickets & providing direct customer support Perform on-going technology maintenance for the business environment Provide proactive on-site technical support services for hardware and software including troubleshooting, testing, problem resolution, documenting, monitoring, and follow up. Installs, maintains and supports all the field IT systems like: desktop and laptop computer hardware; Microsoft Windows Operating Systems; software installation; network and stand-alone printers; remote access; AV equipment; mobile devices support, Cisco telephones; radios, server computer hardware Coordination and/or implementation of hardware and software; ensuring application of corporate standards. Ensure desktop inventory & Software license compliance. 24/7 manufacturing location. One must be available to perform duties during off-hours on occasion as needed. This may require applicants to be available to respond on-site within 90 minutes should problems arise. Activities may include device backups, anti-virus protection support & response, performance tuning, security additions/changes/removals, security policy management, data access controls, configuration/patch management, risk management documentation, change control administration, Interactions with business partners during development, support, and implementation of in-house & 3rd party systems. Participate in IT Refining meetings for implementing Refining-wide IT strategic initiatives. Primary ownership of Mobile Tech Café throughout the site Keep IT Vending Machine stocked. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 2 years of Deskside/Desktop Support experience. Solid knowledge of Desktop/PC products including Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Antivirus protection, performance tuning, configuration & patch management. Basic knowledge of networking (understanding DHCP, DNS) including switches, routers, cabling. Demonstrated knowledge and skill with hardware (able to diagnose hardware vs. software issue), experience with ruggedized devices a plus. Experience with printer repair and capabilities. Experience with mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, handheld devices, wireless set ups. STRONG customer service skills. Solid written and verbal skills, including basic project management skills. Comfortable working in a refinery environment. At times will need to wear hard hat, steel toe boots, PPE equipment. Minimum of a High School Diploma but Associates or Bachelor's Degree is preferred. DESIRED (Nice-to-have) SKILLS Network monitoring and patching experience. Knowledge of database administration. AV conference skills.
