CNC Operator

Operate CNC machines in the production of custom fabrications.

Examples of duties include:

1. Receives work orders from CNC Supervisor or lead person.
2. Sets parts in vice to determine that they are securely held in place.
3. Runs machine to determine that parts are being made to specifications.
4. Produces parts maintaining specific quantity and quality levels.
5. Insures quality control on parts being produced.
6. Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
7. Maintains and updates production and inspection records.
8. Insures good housekeeping in work area.
9. Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
10. Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
11. Performs related work as required.

Performance requirements include:

• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Work with drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail. Use and interpret adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and scales.
• Education: High School or GED
• Experience: Three months to one year.
