We help our customers achieve their goals of creating a reliable, sustainable power grid by reducing risks and identifying innovative solutions for their problems./ppThe Construction Quality Specialist ensures the documentation of quality assurance and quality control for project installations on assigned construction projects. This is achieved through communication with Construction Managers, ongoing review of material submittals, monitoring of construction activities, evaluation of inspection reports, site inspections, assessment of construction schedules, and examination of customer specifications. The position requires interpreting policies as needed, maintaining official document files, and managing company equipment and property. Additional duties may be assigned./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities:/h3ulliReviews customer specifications to ensure quality standards./liliProvides quality oversight on assigned construction projects. Ensures Construction Managers implement Betas Quality Assurance Program, supports them in resolving quality issues, and verifies inspection compliance./liliPlans and evaluates all quality submittals related to materials, observations, and test reports for Beta, customer, and subcontractor scopes of work./liliAssists in reviewing plans for constructability concerns, validating drawing notes, confirming material specifications, and verifying material quantities./liliAudits third-party suppliers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality plans and procedures./liliReviews and approves third-party quality certifications for personnel performing site work, as required./liliAssists in construction oversight for assigned projects. Reviews Beta and subcontractor schedules to ensure quality submittals and inspections are appropriately planned./liliSupports Project Managers or Construction Managers in resolving site-specific construction issues./liliAssists Project Managers and Construction Managers in final inspections and development of subcontractor punch lists. Supports project close-out, final work items, and demobilization./liliPerforms additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Construction Quality or Director./li/ulh3Supervisory Responsibilities And Duties:/h3pThe Construction Quality Specialist will have no employees reporting directly to this position./ph3Expectations:/h3ulliPerforms quality work within established deadlines, with or without direct supervision, and interacts professionally with colleagues and customers./liliContributes effectively as a team member on all assignments./liliWorks independently while recognizing the importance of communicating and coordinating efforts with employees, teams, subcontractors, and partner organizations./liliCommunicates regularly with the supervisor regarding construction quality matters./liliDemonstrates an attitude and attributes that positively reflect Betas core values./liliOperates a company vehicle as required for the position and must maintain a clean driving record./li/ulh3Education And Experience:/h3pFive or more years of industrial or commercial construction related experience preferred or Bachelors Degree in Construction or Engineering Technician curriculum. Knowledge of general civil, structural, mechanical and electrical industries is preferred. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF editor./ph3Work Environment:/h3pThis position requires work to be completed in the field. When asked to do so, the conditions and requirements change to address special needs while working on an active job site.
